Dictionary.com tells me crete is just a Greek Island, as I thought... so not that I care to correct typos (I hate when people care so much) but whether this is a typo or slang I'm curious as to what you mean!
crete as in short for concrete. hah. sometimes runners use that as slang i guess.

We call it conc here in floriduh. Maybe that's why it's called the conc republic! I can make bad jokes without benito here to call me out!
