Warmed up two miles on the roads, then ran a 400, an 800, and a 1200 (with 400 rest after each) on the UO practice track shooting for goal half-marathon pace. On Sunday I'm hoping to run 5:40 for the first mile and then 5:30 for each mile after that, but I have no idea if I have that ability right now or not. Anyway my actual times for the short workout today were 79 for the 400 (~3 seconds fast), 2:46 for the 800 (a second slow), and 4:06 for the 1200 (a second fast). The pace sometimes felt like a struggle and sometimes felt pretty good, so I guess we'll see how it goes. Should be fun anyway.
