5mi, 34:34 (6:54)
Same route as Friday, but instead of doing the first half easy and the second half hard, just did a straight-up acceleration run. Splits for bark loops in the middle of the run were 4:29 for 1k, 8:45 for 2k (forgot to take a split), and 4:15 for 1k.
There was some crazy stuff going on in Portland...a lot of the streets were closed and there were a ton of people on bikes...not racing, just doing a course. There were booths set up all over the place for people to stop at...a lot of them were booths like you'd see at a packet pick-up for a marathon, and some were little things like lemonade stands. In the park where I ran they had a climbing wall set up in the middle, and the whole park was crawling with people (I had to dodge them quite often). The positive part of all of this is I got to hurdle a bunch of little "street closed" barriers.
