Luke - 10.35
Fox Hollow plus the 1.6-mile loop at the top. My watch died today, so I ran without one, which was very weird. I felt like a jogger. Should have a new one (the exact same $30 one I always get) by Wednesday, although they'll probably try to deliver it while I'm at work so I'll never actually be able to get it. Also bought a couple (1, 2) new pairs of shoes, and a cheap pair of shorts.

1) My long-living watch recently died too. Is what distinguishes a jogger from a runner that they don't care about timing? I think of everyone I see out as 'runners,' is that not accurate?
ReplyDelete2) An elderly woman at one of our B&Bs asked me with great interest what the meshy area down the side of my (your) shorts was for. I sheepishly said I wasn't sure as I inherited the shorts, but maybe ventilation.
Yeah my HS coach distinguished runners from joggers by the watch thing, and it makes sense to me.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know what was with those shorts; my guess would also be ventilation. They had lots of strappies and zippers all over the place...they weren't running shorts (although they can obviously be used as such).
