We ran at 10pm because of being busy earlier in the day, so we went on the roads instead of on the trail where an ankle could get turned pretty easily. After a short 1.25mi warmup, we picked up the pace for an out-and-back section of road. First mile passed in 7:18 (or so, the mile markers were a bit iffy) and the second mile definitely lagged. There was an uphill at the end of the first half, which contributed a bit. The first half was done in 14:16, and everyone felt better the second half (13:35). We went for a bit longer on the cooldown than the warmup. Should be feeling good for the rest of the runs this week.
