The heat here caused me to have a terrible nights sleep, so I woke up really late and feeling sluggish and shit. So I made 2 electrolyte cocktails (one for before, one for after), ate a bagel and went out as soon as possible after it settled. I had a goal to run for 5 miles and over 40 mins, both of which I just about managed. It was boiling hot until about minute 15 when it started to thunderstorm. Lightning, thunder and a proper downpour meant I got home with my clothes matted to me. But as you will know, when it's that hot and you're running, it really feels good. The extra weight probably slowed me but it did seem to make the run easier to digest.
