First time in a long time I have been back to Caltech for a track workout. The track was closed for a month for renovation. Today's workout was Voimas, which are 2400m intervals alternating 400m in marathon and 5k pace. I strove for about 7:20/mile and 6:25-6:35 ish. I was probably a bit too conservative, but I wanted to keep a smooth effort. My 5k pace 400s gradually climbed up to 1:35.
Also, I'm running a 5k on Sunday. If I beat some guy wearing a bear costume, I get a free pair of shoes. Prepare for detailed recap if I manage to stay close to the fleet footed bear.
