Luke - 10.35

Fox Hollow plus the 1.6-mile loop at the top. My watch died today, so I ran without one, which was very weird. I felt like a jogger. Should have a new one (the exact same $30 one I always get) by Wednesday, although they'll probably try to deliver it while I'm at work so I'll never actually be able to get it. Also bought a couple (1, 2) new pairs of shoes, and a cheap pair of shorts.

  1. 1) My long-living watch recently died too. Is what distinguishes a jogger from a runner that they don't care about timing? I think of everyone I see out as 'runners,' is that not accurate?

    2) An elderly woman at one of our B&Bs asked me with great interest what the meshy area down the side of my (your) shorts was for. I sheepishly said I wasn't sure as I inherited the shorts, but maybe ventilation.

  2. Yeah my HS coach distinguished runners from joggers by the watch thing, and it makes sense to me.

I honestly don't know what was with those shorts; my guess would also be ventilation. They had lots of strappies and zippers all over the place...they weren't running shorts (although they can obviously be used as such).
