16:39 (8:20)
(pace added because the arithmetic was really easy) (and because I remember the treadmill telling me).
Although I have stated satisfaction with doing slower 5ks over speed in the last few posts, I like that I did this speedier run too.
Alison exercised with me, as ever, and on this day she did it after drinking at lunchtime for her birthday celebration. Hardcore.

Here on Some Running we always round down...so your pace was 8:19.
ReplyDeletewe do?
ReplyDeleteKeep running at whatever pace! You are progressing quickly from a few weeks ago already.
ReplyDeleteYep. A 72.99 split on a 400 repeat is called "72", and a pace of 80:00.00 for a ten-miler is the exact same pace as if you'd run 80:09.99.
ReplyDeleteSteve, I didn't know this either until Luke showed me his way of "creative" pace calculation. Crafty.
ReplyDeleteHah. Yeh I would call 72.99 on a 400 a 73. Although I know a lot of people seem to round down for repeats on workouts in the method Luke described. I usually round unless its close to .5, then I keep a decimal point.
