Joined by Luke today for the Flyers workout, but I decided to do some 1600s around half marathon race pace(6:52 or so). A friend of mine who is running the full marathon on Sunday ran the 1600s with me. We were way too fast on the first and hair slow on the final two. Legs felt pretty good overall though. I just need to go out conservatively in the first few miles then gradually whittle my pace down towards 6:50. It was interesting to see Luke run with the "A" group in my club. Some of the big guns didn't run cuz they are running Long Beach this weekend, but he was finishing a second or two ahead in most of the intervals...
