I wanted to do something short and "fartleky" today. I decided to alternate laps (400m) on a track with 7 minute mile pace and 8 minute mile pace. I started out too slow, so it turned more into a progressive workout. Here is how it went:
1200 wup in 6:55
1:51, 1:59, 1:51, 1:59, 1:48, 1:56, 1:42, 1:55, 1:43, 1:50, 1:40
200 cd in 2:01
Near the end my slow laps started catching up with my fast laps from the start. I felt great. Once I got going it was hard to go slow on the slower lap. I wanted this workout to go on a bit longer, but had to cut it short to accommodate the wife's schedule...
