Steve - 3.6

3.6 miles in 40 min. I was able to walk without a limp today, but my achilles is still pretty sore. I skipped the track workout and just ran near my house. I stayed on concrete because the uneven grass seemed like it would hurt my achilles more. I don't feel any worse a few hours after the run, so that's a good sign. Still feel pain when walking though. I'm hoping to do easy runs like this the rest of the week, and then put in a longer effort on Saturday with strides before my race on Sunday. It sucks because I really can't afford a setback, but I also don't want to get a serious injury. It's a delicate balance. Oh and it's National Running Day, so I had to run! Thanks for the reminder, Luke....
